John R. Head has been involved in designing solutions and delivering technology based solutions to solve real world problems, for over 25 years. Most of the recent work has been in publishing with secure document processing work in LiveCycle and Flex based solutions.

All through high school and college, is where his talent for solving design problems first revealed itself, it has carried over to his professional career in engineering. This experience with Trinity Forge, Snow Corporation and Delfacso spanned the disciplines of 6 Sigma Quality Control, CAD/CAM technologies, cost estimating, design and industrial engineering. And this evolved into Process design.

John’s ability to see the world through technical and practical points of view has lead him to being an expert on processes in publishing, production, and marketing challenges – including workflow design, and publishing automation using a wide variety of formats. John was selected to be part of the first Adobe Freelancer Program . He served on Apple’s and Adobe’s Consumer Advisory Board. He is currently an Adobe Community Champion, and received his Adobe Expert standing in various products.

So how does John understand so much about Marketing. John was pushed into serving as Sales and Marketing Director for a company with less than $300K in revenue. Through redefining the product mix, services offerings and sales models, he outlined a marketing strategy / campaign and sales team, which increased annual revenues to over $5 Mil in less than 30 months. During that same year, John had personal sales of $2.2 Million. He has followed this passion for marketing into a book for SEO and Analytics in review with Apress Publishing.

John has dealt with all levels of companies from small organizations to C-level public corporations. He has designed software solutions for Areva, Coleman, Houston Chronicle, Sears, HEB and others over the last 10 years, with some solutions still in place today.

He lives in Kyle, Texas – to be near his daughter (but not too close) – with  his schnauzer he is training as a therapy dog. He is a certified instructor of Martial Arts and holds 2 Black Belts.
